Message From Our President
Welcome to 2025, the dawning of a new Golden Age for America. I have never observed so much hope and excitement since Ronald Reagan was elected President back in 1980. Following a brief recession (1981-82) what happened next was unprecedented in US history--fifteen consecutive years of significant economic expansion, creating unimaginable wealth for individuals. As people became richer, private jet demand outpaced supply by more than 2:1. Business jet expansion continued until the 2000 recession triggered in part by the dot.com implosion and then 911.
I started buying jets in 1997. In those days pre-owned business aircraft were increasing in value at a rate of 50 percent every six months. My clients would refinance and buy more. Based on what I am seeing right now, I expect prices to rise by 20 percent over the next year with much higher appreciation possible after 2027. It takes about 4 to 6 months to complete an aircraft purchase transaction, longer if one is buying new. So if you are looking to buy within the next two years, you may want to start exploring within the next six months.
Speaking of sales, we started the new year off with another Global Express order. Delivery is expected in July after we complete new custom paint, interior, and major inspections.

Topic: What is the expected aviation effect of the incoming Trump Administration?

AeroOne Summary and Comments:
Trump tax, regulatory and business friendly policies will assist businesses to buy, right off and fly private aircraft more efficiently. Fuel prices should also settle back.
Airlines #1 goal will continue to be profits (at the expense of service and coverage.) Trump will assist the airlines in dialing back passenger rights while promoting competition. Prices will continue to act inversely to service level and ultimately the airlines will continue their race to the bottom. SouthWest will perform better because it was always no-frills.
Foreign airlines may get wings clipped if barriers go up due challenges such as pandemic threats or sovereign disputes. See significant increase in international fares and less options over the next 4 years, putting pressure on long range private options.
